Description

The Pacific Northwest Region, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Boise, ID, intends to award a sole source purchase order to E.G. Solutions, Inc., PO Box 2437, Corvallis, OR 97339, telephone 541-752-7810, for the acquisition of four (4) each rotary screw traps. The proposed action is for equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302. If set aside for small business, the North American Industrial Classification System Code would be 333999, All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing, and the Small Business Administration size standard would be 500 employees. E.G. Solutions is the only manufacturer of the rotary screw traps covered by US patent 4,929,350. These self powered screw traps will be utilized during fisheries research to capture, without causing injury, fast swimming fish in a wide range of water velocities. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within ten days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
