Description

The National Park Service (NPS), Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) has identified a requirement to remove approximately two (2) acres of Eucalyptus trees from a ridge knoll along Alta Avenue, above Marin City, CA, which pose a significant dangerous fire threat to residents who live in these areas. Contractor shall remove the trees and branches, and mulch the slash on site. Period of performance is from October 15, 2001 through November, 30, 2001. Contractors bidding on this project must be able to complete the job within this time frame, as timing is critical, because of the rainy season and concern about erosion. Due to the time constraints on this project, offers are due on Tuesday, September, 25 at 12:00 noon, no exceptions. A MANDATORY SITE VISIT is scheduled for THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2001 AT 11:00 AM. INTERESTED CONTRACTORS MAY CALL CAROL A. AXLEY AT (415) 561-4793 FOR DIRECTIONS AND SITE VISIT MAP/LOCATION, WHICH CAN BE FAXED. Solicitation hard copy will only be issued at the site visit. Time does not permit solicitations to be mailed out. Only thoses offerors who attend the mandatory site visit will be permitted to submit an offer. Prior to commencement of work, the selected contractor shall provide the NPS with a detailed tree removal plan for review and approval. CONTRACTORS MUST MEET MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AS STATED IN THE SCOPE OF WORK IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. This procurement is restricted to small businesses only.
