Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to solicit for an IDIQ contract for services to convert Government furnished SCAC-7.5, NSN 3H4120-01-261-6693, Self Contained Air Conditioners, manufactured by Marlo Coil, to "semi non-magnetic". The contractor will be required to convert all galvanized steel sheetmetal in the unit cabinet and remote controller, to 316L stainless steel. The units will eventually be installed on-board US Navy Minesweepers. The contract will be for a base year with an estimated 4 units, and an estimated 5 units during the first option year. Delivery will be required, within 12 weeks after issuance of a delivery order, to Officer in Charge, Ingleside, TX. This acquisition will be solicited utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 03 Oct 01 and close on or about 17 Oct 01. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or equivalent is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.=20
