Description

The Department of Energy Oak Ridge Operations Office (DOE-ORO) seeks an experienced firm for road and heavy equipment maintenance services with this competitive small business set-aside procurement will use the NAICS Code 234110. The contractor will provide the necessary skilled personnel to perform services, including, but not limited to, maintenance of 1) roadways (approximately 33 miles), 2) utility line right-of-way, 3) light vehicles, and 4) heavy equipment. The contractor may be required to complete roadway construction resurfacing and minor earthwork. The work will be performed on and around DOE-owned sites in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the DOE will provide the necessary space, utilities, equipment and supplies necessary to accomplish the work. It is anticipated that the contract will be indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task order contract with time-and-materials and fixed unit rate pricing. The contract is expected to have 1 two-year base period plus 3 one-year option periods for a total contract period not to exceed five years. Contingent on funding availability, budget expectations, and the exercising of options, the total estimated contract value is $15 to $20 million. A Request for Proposals (RFP) is expected to be released electronically on or about October 15, 2001, at this Internet address, and will not be made available in hard-copy. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after the issuance of the RFP.
