Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Physiologic Instruments, Inc. of San Diego CA to furnish an Easy Mount System with Snapwells for the Chicago Health Care System, West Side Division, Chicago IL. NAICS: 339112. Equipment will be used for the Research and Development Dept. at the Medical Center. Equipment required must have the capability to accommodate small tissue specimens, biopsies and epithelial cells grown on collagen-coated membranes interchangeably by only having to change the inserts. In addition, equipment required must also be able to measure electrical parameters on different tissues or cells simultaneously. The Government believes that Physiologic Instruments, Inc. is the only company, which can provide this equipment that will satisfy the agency requirements. This purchase will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days of the date of publication of this synopsis. Responses received as noted herein will be evaluated. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements.
