Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate a sole source simplified acquisition with Allen Systems Group for a one-year maintenance agreement for Methods Manager software. The software is a single CPU license housed on a Hitachi SL 827 at 927 MIPS. The software is being utilized at the National Computer Center, Baltimore, MD. The software is proprietary to Allen Systems Group; therefore, Allen Systems Group is the only source known that has the capability of providing the required services. Interested sources who believe they have the ability to perform the services required can identify their capability to Cynthia Spencer, Contracting Officer, Office of Acquisition and Grants, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21207-5279; e-mail: cynthia.spencer@ssa.gov. Responses must be received by 3:00 p.m. EDT, September 24, 2001. The Government will consider all responses, but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely under the discretion of the Government. This is neither a request for quotations, nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
