- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responses to this solicitation/Request for Quotation (RFQ) must make reference to Solicitation Number F04693-01-Q-0003 and be submitted by the close of business 24 September. This solicitation covers two lines items. 1) Emergency water to include 123,552 pouches of water. Each pouch must contain 4.2 ounces of drinking water with a shelf life of five (5) years. 2) Emergency food. To include food bars that have a minimum of 400 calories each. Total order of 400-calorie bars will equal 46,332. Bars shall be packaged in bundles of nine (9) bars for a total of 3,600 calories per bundle. Bars must have a shelf life of five (5) years. This shall be sufficient to feed 5,148 people for a period of three (3) days. Please note that all freight charges must be included as a separate line item if they are not included in the unit price. This contract is Set-aside for Small Business. The NAIC code associated with this requirement is 422490, with a size standard of 100 employees. Required delivery to Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, CA 90245. To be eligible, vendors are required to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR), NO EXCEPTIONS. In order to register, apply through the Internet at http://www.ccr2000.com. A Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number is required to register. Verification of CCR registration and Tax ID number must accompany your quote. The provisions of FAR 52.212-1, "Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition and addenda are not attached; FAR 52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition and a completed copy of the provision should be provided with the offer. FAR 52.212-4, "Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items"; DFAR 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration"; FAR 52.233-3, "Agency Protests" and FAR 52.212.5, "Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items", including the following sub clauses, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37 and 52.232-33, apply to this acquisition. FAR Clause 52.212.-2, "Evaluation-Commercial Items", also applies to this acquisition. Responses will be evaluated based on a low cost standard.
