Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being request ed and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DAKF04-01-Q-0086 and is issued as a Requests for Quotes (RFQ). NAICS Code is 332311, with size standard of 500. This procurement is made on an unrestricted basis. Award will be firm-fixed price contract. This solicitation incorporates FAR Clause 52.232-18 Availability of Funds and provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Aclquisition Circular #97-27. The 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA, has a requirement for eleven metal temporary office structures distributed among three contract line items in accordance with the following specifications: New 20ft L x 8ft W x 8ft 6in H steel shipping container framed in 2x3in wood studs, then insulated w/ 1in polystyrene rigid board; Size: 20ft L x 8ft W x 8ft 6in H steel shipping container; Heating and Cooling: Central HVAC, Supply and return ducted, R-11 insulated walls, floor, and ceiling; Windows and Doors: Horizontal slider windows w/ screens, Hydraulic door closures, Miniblinds, Steel doors w/ deadbolts; Electric: Flourescent ceiling lights, 125 amp breaker panel, 120/240V single phase, Exterior phone/data jack access; Interior Finish: Wood grain paneled walls, Vinyl tile floors, T-grid ceiling; Private offices (2); 8 ft desk top (1), Fold-down plan table (1), 8ft overhead shelf (1); Exterior Finish Frame: Paint color: sandpiper (beige); Delivery will be to the 11th ACR Regiment, Barstow Road, Fort Irwin, California. Deliveries will be FOB: destination only. Provision FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Provision FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items applies with the evaluation factors being price and price-related factors.
