- Description
- NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase pressure housings for OA-9070 Towed Array Handling Equipment Motors. Required are Capstan Drive Motor Housings and Stowage Drum Motor Housings and associated components for both those items. The following items are required: SDU Housing (Front housing IAW Dwg. #1-1224D0102, Motor housing IAW Dwg. #1-1224D0120-2 and Rear housing IAW Dwg. #1-1224D0333-1), qty. 6; CDU Housing (Front housing IAW Dwg. #1-1224D0102, Motor housing IAW Dwg. #1-1224D0120-1 and Rear housing IAW Dwg. #1-1224D0333-2), qty. 4; SDU Shaft Assembly IAW Dwg. #1224E116-1, qty. 6; CDU Shaft Assembly IAW Dwg. #1224E116-2, qty. 4; Housing Seal IAW Dwg. #1224D103, qty. 10; Quill IAW Dwg. #1220C0334, qty. 24. Near net shape castings must be provided by the contractor. Hardcopies of top level drawings, provided for information purposes only, are available upon request @ approx. $500/set. Electronic drawings are available at a cost of $125/set. These are not mfg. drawings. Waterproof enclosures are required to protect the motors from direct pressure and exposure to seawater. Award will be made on the basis of "Best Value". Evaluation criteria: Technical Capability w/sub-factor Delivery Schedule; in addition, Price and Past Performance. 1st Article qualification, performed by the contractor, requires successful completion of certification testing of two (2) pre-production samples for all items. Contractor testing includes full environmental testing (shock, vibration and pressure) and 100% dimensional verification, weld-ability certification and fitment validation. 1st Article may be waived if contractor provides evidence of previously delivered identical or similar acceptable items to the Government. Required delivery is 5 mths. ARO, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 333995; size standard is 500 Employees.
