Description

This synopsis serves as Amendment 0001 to Request for Quotation N00178-01-Q-3032 (Submission number 50S0L7) which appeared in the Commerce Business Daily on 17 July 2001. This Amendment will provide clarifications in response to questions posed following the release of the original synopsis and extend the closing date for this Request for Quotation. Q.1: How many CPUs are required? A.1: Ten CPUs are required, one on each card -- UltraSPARC IIe, 500Mhz Q.2: What are the general characteristics of the requirement? A.2: The card must have built-in 10/100 Mbits Ethernets, dual 16-bit LVD SCSIs, a software readable switch or jumper for identification, at least 3 PMC slots, and no wider than a 2 VME slot configuration. The PMC slots must accept the installation of these interface modules: Ramix FX Ethernet Card, RAMIX Hard Drive, and Peritek Video Card. Q.3: What are the types of applications to be used? A.3: Must run Solaris 2.6 or higher OS. Primary applications are system server, data recording, remote x-windows display. Q.4: What is the required manufacturer? A.4: The manufacturer required is THEMIS COMPUTER. This manufacturer is the only one known to produce the processor cards with the necessary configurations as stated in Q2. These characteristics must be met to support the design phase of the MK 160 Mods 9 and 10 display test bed, and to allow the development of the MK160 Mods 9 and 10 systems to continue. THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS RFQ IS HEREBY EXTENDED TO 26 SEPTEMBER 2001, 12 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). There are no other changes in the terms or conditions of this Request for Quotation.
