Amendment No. 2 on Project F736591230300 for ?Tree and Stump Removal? The purpose of this amendment: 1. Provide an answer the following question that was asked after the site visit: Question: The back 50 acres appears to be hardwood, please verify. Answer: Out of the 93 acres, there are approx. 50 acres of hardwood, including the pine and all that was easily visible from the site visit location. =20 2. Reestablish the proposal closing date: Proposals are hereby due not later than 4:30 pm on Monday, Sept 24. =20 3. Change paragraph number 1 of the statement of work from ?Selected stumps/trees to be removed and burned from a 93 acre area ?? to ?All stumps/trees to be removed and burned from a 93 acre area ?? 4. Remove the word ?selected? from paragraphs 3 and 5 of the statement of work. 5. Performance time for this project is 60 calendar days. Amendment # 1 -- Proposal due date suspended indefinitely. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F7365912320300 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 561730 with a $5 million size standard. Contractors shall submit a LUMP SUM proposal for the labors and materials included in this project. PROVIDE PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT TO CUT SELECTED TREES AND STUMPS TO BE REMOVED, BURNED, AND CUT OR GRIND TREES AND STUMPS TO GRADE OR BELOW GRADE ON 93 ACRES AT NORTH AUXILIARY AIRFIELD, NORTH, SOUTH CAROLINA. (See attached statement of work and driving directions from Charleston, which can be downloaded on web-site www://eps.gov). It is MANDATORY that all contractors attend a scheduled SITE VISIT ON FRIDAY 7 SEPTEMBER 2001 AT 1:00 PM. ALL SITE VISIT ATTENDEES SHOULD GATHER AT THE FRONT ENTRANCE OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AT NORTH FIELD AUXILIARY AIRFIELD, NORTH, SOUTH CAROLINA. THIS REQUIREMENT IS NOT CURRENTLY FUNDED. AWARD WILL BE MADE IF FUNDS BECOME AVAILABLE. PRICING MUST BE VALID THROUGH 30 SEP 01. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award.
