Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to award on an other than full and open competition basis, a modification to the above contract to extend the base-wide contract for Operation, Maintenance and Administration (OM&A) of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake site base telephone system from 23 March 02 through 30 September 02 with two additional three-month options. The procurement will be awarded to Contel Advanced Systems, Inc. (CASI), the contractor who installed and is currently operating and maintaining the base telephone system. Future operation of the telephone system will be included as part of the Navy-wide Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (N/MCI) contract. The N/MCI contract is scheduled to provide capability for maintenance of the base telephone system commencing 30 Sep 02. The two additional three-month options are solely to provide the needed coverage in case of problems in transitioning to the N/MCI contract. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. Any firms believing that they can perform the required effort may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing it's ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the base-wide telephone system.
