Description

The Military Sealift Command (MSC) anticipates award of a noncompetitive contract that does not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold to AMADIS, Inc. on or about 1 Oct 01. The Contractor will provided preparation for and attendance at committee meetings and related policy forums, coordination of standard preparation from concept to final international standard and associated administrative support for the ISO Technical Committee TC8 (Ships and Marine Technology Committee). A noncompetitive contract action is justified because AMADIS is the only known contractor with required experience/expertise in all areas associated with the support, including TC8 historical and current inititatives in engineering, ship operations, marine safety, and marine environmental protection; American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) standards and issues; Military Sealift Command new ship construction, conversion, and ship transfers; and administration and processes in developing, staffing, and publishing standards of TC8 Committee.
