Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements', it is the Government s intent to award a sole source purchase order for a Military Protective Driving Course to Gryphon In ternational, Inc., of Melbourne FL. The driving course will instruct 50 students and will include the following: 1) Basics of surveillance detection/counter surveillance and route planning. 2) Avoidance through awareness/decision making. 3) Track exercise s to include vehicle control, precision intervention techniques. 4) SUV/HMMWV urban training. 5) Basic and intermediate 4WD/off-road driving, recovery, and self-recovery. 6) Basic motorcade, CAT, and cover & evacuate. 7) Road survival, passing, ditching, riots, IVCPs, and counter intervention by others. 8) Hostage survival. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honore d. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
