Description

The Salmon-Challis National Forest, 50 Highway 93 South, Salmon, ID 83467, anticipates the issuance of an Invatation for Bid for the following proposed project. This project consists of the Reconstruction of a portion of the Lewis and Clark Back Country Byway and Adventure Road and the development of a material source producing approximately 75,275 tons of crushed aggregate surfacing, also included is the hauling and placement of approximately 24,000 tons of stockpiled gravel. The project entails the surfacing of approximately 2.94 miles of County Road #002216, reconstructing and surfacing approximately 20.90 miles of Forest Service Road #60185, reconstruction and surfacing of approximately 3 miles of Trail Creek road #3909 on the Beaverhead National Forest, construction of approximately .21 miles of access road #3037 and a parking facilty for the Lewis and Clark Flag Unfurling Site adjacent to Forest Service Road #60185. Work includes but is not limited to the Clearing, Excavation, Hauling, Watering, Drainage, Surfacing, Dust Control, Seeding and Planting, and Mobilization of equipment. The Forest Service is offering a pre solicitation site visit due to winter weather conditions expected during the solicitation process. The site visit will be held on OCTOBER 17, 2001 at 9 AM LOCAL TIME. All potential contractors that wish to attend the site visit will meet at the SALMON-CHALLIS NATIONAL FOREST DISTRICT OFFICE AT 50 HIGHWAY 93 SOUTH, SALMON, ID.
