Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase ord er on a sole source basis with Malden Mills Industries, Inc., 46 Stafford Street, Lawrence, MA 01842-1609. This effort is to provide the Government with Shape Memory Polymer (SMP) Trilaminated Fabric. The Government plans on purchasing 900 yards for testin g only. The Government is interested in testing the Malden Mill s SMP fabric to evaluate the efficacy of SMP technology when laminating face to backface fabric layers to see if it meets field and lab performance requirements.
