Description

Construction of a 41 vehicle parking lot and access drive for the Gladie Visitor Center on the Stanton Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Menifee County, Kentucky. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and incidental supplies necessary to complete the work in accordance with the specifications and plans. The work includes, but is not limited to: 1) Construction Staking; 2) Clearing and Grubbing; 3) Removal of Structures and Obstructions; 4) Excavation and Drainage Excavation; 5) Construction of a Sediment Basin; 6) Construction of Catch Basins; 7) Crushed Aggregate Base and Hot Bituminous Asphalt Wearing Surface; 8) Concrete Curbs and Sidewalks; 9) Seeding; 10) Traffic Marking (Striping); and 11) Road Closure Device (Bar Gate). There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Visit held at a date and time to be determined. The Contractor will have 70 calendar days to complete the project after receiving a notice to proceed. The NAICS Code 234990, All Other Heavy Construction applies to this project. This project is being solictied using the Invitation for Bid format on an unrestricted basis; there are no set-asides.
