Description

FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex has a requirement to procure Item 0001 one (1) each 1.5" cold feed rubber extruder with 12:1 length to diameter ratio barrel with the following specifications: cold feed rubber extruder, no more than 5,000 lbs., center line height no more than 45", width no larger than 50", depth no more than 50", height no more than 60", this must be a compact machine to fit in the allocated space in the shop rubber manufacturing area; it has to have a constant regulated feed that will compensate for variations in strip size as the material is fed through the machine, direction of operation is left to right, 460 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle, water requirements 15 GPM, water pipe size is 1", air no more than 30PSI, closed loop cooling, overload protection and disconnect switch, motor start/stop buttons, pressure safety switch and relief valve, 1.5" shape head, all components mounted on a common base,; Item 0002 one (1) each 1.5" shape head to go with extruder. This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13.5 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00181-01-Q-0643. This solicitation incorporates clauses and provision in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The NAICS classification is 333220 and the small business size standard is 500. Inspection/acceptance is at destination. The ship to address is: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Attn: Receiving Officer, Bldg. 276, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000.
