Description

This requirement is for the quantity of 18 Striker Equipment Kits/Mission Equipment Packages and 18 Traversing Unit Adaptor Kits in support of the Brigade Combat Team. These Mission Equipment Packages are the same as the current Striker Mission Equipment Packages used with the Striker vehicle systems. The Striker is a continuation of the Bradley Fire Integration Support Team (BFIST) vehicle program designed specifically for the Army's Combat Observation Lasing Team in the heavy and light divisions. The Striker integrates the BFIST Mission Equipment Package in the HMMWV chassis support heavy and light force fire support operation. The Traversing Unit Adaptor Kit requirement is needed for air transportability to give quick set up. These Traversing Unit Adaptor Kits shall eliminate the requirement to re-boresight upon arrival. TACOM intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Systems & Electronics Inc. of St. Louis, Missouri pursuant to FAR 6.302. See numbered Note 22 and 26.
