Description

Small business sources sought for FSG 42, shut-off valve and gated wyes. Small business dealers must provide products from small domestic manufactureres. Item Purchase Descriptions are attached. THANKS! ***************************************************************** NSN 4210-01-412-5684 NFES 0738 VALVE, SHUT-OFF, GARDEN HOSE: Shall have 3/4 inch 11-1/2 NH female threads on one end and 3/4 inch diameter 11-1/2 NH male threads on the other end, and have a ball type shut-off device to block the flow of water in either direction. The valve body shall be corrosion resistant steel, brass, zinc, or aluminum. The ball material is optional. When open, the valve assembly shall have straight through flow. A gasket shall be provided inserted into the female end. The ball valve shall be capable of withstanding 125 psi for 3 minutes without leaking when closed. It is necessary for the valve to hold this pressure from the female side of the valve only. PACKAGING/PACKING: One hundred (100) valves shall be packed in a close-fitting cardboard or fiberboard box. The pack shall in compliance with Uniform Freight Classification and the National Motor Freight Classification. Internal packaging within this pack is at the option of the contractor. SPECIAL MARKING: The National Fire Equipment System (NFES) number appearing below the National Stock Number (NSN) of this Item Purchase Description shall be marked on the shipping container below the NSN. The NFES number shall be preceded by "NFES". MARKING: Shipments to GSA and other civilian agencies shall be marked in accordance with FED-STD-123. In addition, the UPC code shall be marked on all shipping containers and shall remain clearly legible. NIB/NISH/FPI suppliers shall be exempt from UPC code requirements. Shipments to the Department of Defense (DOD) shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. PALLETIZATION: The shipping containers shall be palletized. The pallets shall be 48-inch length x 40-inch width, general purpose, four-way entry, flush stringer, double face non-reversible pallets. The palletized load shall not exceed 2500 pounds in weight. The palletized load shall not overhang the pallet and shall not exceed 53 inches in overall height. Less than half pallet loads or loads shipped by small package carrier need not be palletized. NOTICE: All lumber used inside or outside a shipment shall be BARK FREE.
