Description

The US Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a purchase order under simplified acquisition procedures to the Association of Environmental Health and Sciences for 500 copies of the Special Issue of the International Journal of Health and Ecological Risk Assessment (HERA). This special issue will be devoted solely to the publication of the proceedings from the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory's (NHEERL) 5th symposium held in June 2000. HERA is the only scientific journal that offers synergistic coverage of both human and ecological risk assessment. HERA is the internationally recognized journal of choice to publish information on NHEERL's research. The EPA has identified Association of Environmental Health and Sciences as the only organization with the necessary background knowledge and expertise to perform this task, i.e., FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements". Interested parties who can meet the above requirements may submit qualification statements no later than 15 days after the date of this publication.
