Description

YWCA/Los Angeles Job Corps Center (LAJCC)is soliciting bids from California licensed security/facility protection companies with a minimum of three years working in a school-like setting. Three different references are required. The successful bidder must be insurable. The company will provide trained security personnel who will perform routine and emergency response duties in the protection of approximately 735 LAJCC students, 240 staff, real and personal property. The protective services will be rendered at eight different locations comprised of multiple story buildings. Some Security Posts require 24 hours coverage. Only one mandatory Pre-Bid conference and facility walk-through will be held at the LAJCC on October 12, 2001, at 1031 So. Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015, from 9:00 A.M. through 1:00 P.M. Bid packages will be available during the conference. Minority business, women-owned business are encouraged to bid (must show certificate of certification issued by the Small Business Administration). Bids must be received by 10-19-01. The LAJCC reserves the right to reject requests for extensions and to disqualify late bids; and to make and award without written or oral discussion with any bidder and or accept or reject any of all bids at its own discretion.
