Description
The Army Telecommunications Directorate (ATD) has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Fort Monroe, VA. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of Virginia, shall provide local commercial communications service for Fort Monroe, VA which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunk, directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under NAICS code 51331/51333 and SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees. This requirement shall be a commercial fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 3 October 2001. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 12 October 2001 at Fort Monroe, VA, Bldg 105. The conference will be from 9:00-10:00 am (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:00 12:00 am. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the specialist listed below, in writing, of all attendees' names (not to exceed three per company) prior to 10 October 2001 (NOTE: Offerors shall provide the attendees' names, so access can be granted prior to the pre-proposal conference). An e-mail response to the specialist listed below is acceptable. Questions received prior to the conference must be received before 10 October 2001. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 26 October 2001. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
