Description

NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for an upgrade on a Testronics 201 C System. Item descriptions are as follows: Line item 1: P/N=1, Timing test head for measuring TON, TOFF, TRR, ETC on Mosfets, Bipolar, and Diodes. Tektronics TDS 654 O-Scope. Stand alone test terminal for use with timing test head. This item will add a second terminal in addition to the existing five (5) by sixteen (16) terminal. Line item 2: P/N=2, Option to add a power module to extend the existing 201C test capability to 200A/2000V. Option includes replacement of existing output module. Power module unit. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Semitek International per the authority of an RDSS. No competition will be solicited due to this being an upgrade that is available only from Semitek International and its uniqueness to the Testronics 201 C System that is presently in use for acceptance testing and failure analysis for EEE piece parts in support of multiple projects at MSFC. The NAICS code is 333298, and the SIC code is 500, respectively. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on October 10, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
