Description
The District of South Carolina, United States Marshals Service, plans to procure hospital care as required for federal prisoners in Columbia, SC area. Services provided are: Emergency treatment, inpatient/outpatient care, any and all medical and surgical needs, acceptance of Medicare rates from Palmetto Richland/Baptist Alliance, P.O. Box 100168 in Columbia, S.C. The requirement consists of Richland County Jail using this vendor as they have a contract in place with the above mentioned source. Palmetto Richland/Baptist Alliance is the only party known to the District of South Carolina that can meet the above requirements. The jail transports prisoners to this hospital after notifying the U.S. Marshals Service. It is advantageous to the U.S. Marshals Service as we do not have to take on this responsibility of going to jail and transporting to hospital. This is not a solitication for competitive porposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing, and must contain meterial in sufficient detail to allow the Marshals Service to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Offers must also be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties, and/or other information that demonstrates that the offeror is capable of successfully performing the requirement. Collect calls will NOT be accepted. The determination to compete or not compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
