- Description
- The District of South Carolina, United States Marshals Service, plans to pircure hospital care as required for federal prisoners in the Charleston, SC area. Serices provided are: Emergency treatment, inpatient/outpatient care, any and all medical and surgical needs, acceptance of Medicare rates from the Medical University of South Carolina, 171 Ashley Avenue, Charleston, SC. The requirement consists of Charleston County Jail utilizing this facility for convenience. Medical University of South Carolina is the only party known to the District of South Carolina that can meet the above requirements. The jail transports prisoners to the hospital after notifying the U.S. Marshals Service. It is advantageous as we do not have to take on this responsibility of going to the jail and transporting. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing, and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Marshals Service to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Offers must also be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties, and/or other information that demonstrates that the offeror is capable of successfully performing the requirement. Collect calls will NOT be accepted. The determination to compete or not compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
