ELECTRONIC RFP ANNOUNCEMENT, POTENTIAL OFFERORS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION AND AMENDMENTS. The Pharmaceutical Management Branch (PMB), Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP), Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), is recompeting a five-year support services contract. The purpose of the PMB support contract is to: facilitate the management and distribution of all agents supplied on CTEP supported clinical trials, with respect to inventory control, acquisition and other authorization; facilitate the management of the investigator registration process and annual re-registrations; provide the PMB pharmacists the necessary reports, concerning drug usage for the proper management of their portfolio of agents; and facilitate the authorization and distribution of investigational agents for treatment uses, i.e., Special Exceptions and/or Group C/Treatment Protocols. In support of the above, the Contractor will be expected to provide word processing, photocopying, filing, telephone and other clerical support. Space is provided at PMB/CTEP (the government site), which is currently at 6130 Executive Blvd., Rockville, Maryland, for the majority of the personnel performing this contract. The site includes computers, telephone, fax and copy equipment needed by on-site personnel to perform the Statement of Work. In addition, the current contract also maintains an off-site location for storage and additional personnel (currently 4,080 hours). The incumbent Contractor is Professional & Scientific Associates, Inc. (Contract No. N02-CM-77026), which is scheduled to expire on February 28, 2002. The PMB plans to award a single, incrementally funded, cost-reimbursement, level-of-effort, type contract for a five-year period with a required level-of-effort of 145,600 hours for all five years, plus an additional 31,200 hours if Option A is exercised, and an additional 20,800 hours if Option B is exercised. The anticipated solicitation issue date is approximately 15 days after the publication of this notice, and proposals will be due approximately 30 days after the issue date.
