Description

: The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command, Atlantic is seeking sources that can provided the following valves, controller, and temperature sensor for a prototype system for the 87 Foot WPB Class of Cutters. The system utilizes automatically controlled infinitely positionable three way valves. The valves must operate to re-circulate a portion of the raw water from the engines back to the sea strainers to melt incoming ice. The valves must operate automatically, and continuously adjust flow based on the temperature of the sea strainer. The system must operate automatically and adapt to any temperature or engine load or engine speed. The only known source to the Government for the valves, controller, and temperature sensor for this prototype system is AMOT Controls, Richmond, CA. AMOT Controls can provide (1) AMOT Valve 3 Way, 3?, P/N 3GEDBFOXC, (2) AMOT Valve 3 Way, 2? P/N 3GEDBFOXC, (3) AMOT Controller, P/N 8063ADO18NN1, and (4) AMOT Temp Sensor, P/N/ 8060A-4-3 in support of this prototype system. Any other business sources, able to provide equivalent valves, controller, and/or sensor are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after its publication.
