Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation ; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-02-T-0016 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This procurement is unrestricted. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561990 and the business size standard is $5.0. Fleet Contracting Center, Mayport Fl intends to purchase on a full and open competitive basis Mobile demineralized Boiler/Feedwater Service. This requirement is for a fixed priced contract for Mobile Water Service in accordance with the following statement of work: The contractor shall provide equipment on a rental basis necessary to process approximately 70,000 to 90,000 gallons of feed water during a seven day period for the USS John F Kennedy located at C Pier, Naval Station Mayport FL 32228. Approximate usage 810,000 gallons for the period of performance, of October 2001 through September 2002. Contractor furnished equipment shall include one jumbo trailer (portable deionization plant) for continuos use, hose, and fittings to connect to the ship's riser as necessary. Shore source feedwater shall be within the following limits: conductivity 2.5 UMHO/CM Maximum (at point of delivery) silica 0.2 PPM maximum. The Government intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors.
