Description
The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from invited prequalified contractors for the postalization project at the Hollywood Pavilion Store. The project consists of the improvement of space leased by the USPS at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, a high profile commercial development located in Hollywood, California. Work generally includes the build-out of approximately 3,500 square feet of interior space. The facility includes a public lobby, postal store, full- and self-service centers, employee restroom, kitchenette and support areas. The finishes in the public spaces, many of which are custom, include, among other things, colored concrete floor topping, galvanized sheet and perforated metal cladding, perforated metal ceilings and painted exposed ductwork. The retail display unit in the Postal Store will utilize a mobile cable system. The general contractor shall furnish and install all casework in accordance with the drawings provided. Estimated cost range is $600,000 to $900,000. The work is to be completed within 160 calendar days from the notice to proceed date. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this project will be 11%.
