Description

This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number N00181-02-Q-0003 applies. The NAICS classification is 333314 with a small business standard of 500 employees. All deliverables shall be FOB destination, NNSY, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. ITEM DESCRIPTION: 1) Alignment telescope -- Ordering data: Objective end shall be a hard chrome surface cylinder ground to a 2.2498 inches (+0.0000/-0.0003 inches) diameter; must contain built-in horizontal and vertical micro-meters to take lateral measurements from a line of sight; built-in optical micrometers are required to have a range of 0.100 inches and read to 0.001 inches; optical micrometer accuracy must be within +/- 0.0002 inches over the full range to meet Navy's Metrology and Calibration Program (METCAL) requirements; telescope must be capable of being focused from zero to infinity with automatically varying magnification; auto-reflection target and auto-collimation illumination units shall be built-in; qty 2 ea; Brunson Instrument model 71-2022 OR EQUAL; 2) Rotating mounting base -- Ordering data: Shall be designed to accommodate all 2-1/4 inches alignment telescopes; shall hold the alignment telescope by two supports approx. 9-1/2 inches on center; supports shall be individually adjustable vertically; shall contain a ball bearing spindle to control precise rotation in the horizontal plane; base shall have four leveling screws to provide easy tilt adjustment; base shall contain a fine motion tangent screw; shall have a standard 3-1/2 inches-8 internal thread for attaching to any comparable optical tooling stand, tripod, trivet, extension tube or precision slide, qty 1 ea; Brunson Instrument model 89 OR EQUAL. All offers of EQUAL equipment MUST provide reference material sufficient for complete evaluation of items offered. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The following apply: FAR 52.212-1; 52.212-3; 52.212-4; 52.212-5 (incorporating 52.219-26; 52.222-21; 52.222-26; 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.232-33 as applicable; 52.232036 as applicable.ADDENDA: DFAR 252.212-7001 incorporating 252.225-7001, DFAR 252.204-7004. Contractors are required to be registered in the CCR (Central Contractor Registration). Lack of registration in the CCR shall make an offeror INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. All responses must include a completed copy of the certifications and representation set-forth in FAR 52.212-3. All offers shall be evaluated for price, technical acceptability, and adherence to the applicable clauses/provisions. Parties responding to this Request for Quotations may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, quote form, etc) but must include the following 1) Complete mailing/remittance address(es); 2)Prompt payment discount; 3) Delivery Schedule; 4)Taxpayer ID#; 5)ALL completed certifications as required herein.
