Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound, WA has a requirement for Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services in support of the Naval Hospital and Naval Dental Clinic in Guam. This requirement will be a total small business set-aside. Various quantities of items consisting of but not limited to bedspreads, blankets, pillow cases, pajamas, sheets, tablecloths, drapes, surgical uniforms, towels, robes, mops and other related items. This requirement calls for a base and two option years. The period of performance will be as follows: Base year: 01 December 2001 through 30 November 2002; Option year one: Option year one exercise date through one year thereafter; Option year two: Option year two exercise date through one year thereafter. Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to perform this requirement. Pick-up and delivery required. The acquisition will be solicited utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 12 Commercial Acquisition. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about October 16, 2001 with quotes due on or about November 08, 2001. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "brad_e_demers@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.=20
