Description

Invitation for Bid (IFB) 38-2054 re-offering 235 Machine Tools, located at Rock Island Arsenal, IL. (Originally offered on 38-1054, cancelled due to Sept 11th tragedy). Sealed Bid Opening is October 24, 2001 at 9:00 AM (EDST). Inspection dates are October 15 -- 23, 2001 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CDST). A 24-hour notice is required prior to inspection. Please contact Sandy Duncan,(309)782-2667 for appointment. Appointments will be set for 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 12:00 PM. You must have an appointment scheduled in order to get onto the Arsenal, due to stringent security requirements. Visitors must report to the Security Gate on the Moline side to receive badges and an escort. Items offered including Boring and Turning Machines, B-D-M's, Broaching Machines, Dust Collectors, Demagnetizers, Drilling and Tapping Machines, Radial Drilling Machines, Electrical Discharge Machine, Filing Machine, Honing Machines, Lathes, Machining Centers, various Milling Machines, Planers, various Press Machines, various Saws, various Welding Equipment, Electroplate Vats, Solvent Stills, Rifling Machine, and others.
