Description

1. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to solicit a quotation for existing commercial off-the-shelf software license, renewals, upgrades, enhancements, technical support for CONNECT:DIRECT/MVS software currently in use at the CDC/IRMO facility, effective 11/01/2001 through 10/31/2002, from Sterling Commerce, 5215 N. O'Connor Blvd., Irving, TX 75039 on a sole source basis on or before 10/22/2001, This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Simplified Acquisition procedures will be utilized and an oral quotation will be solicited on or about Sept 21, 2001. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253?(1). Qualified vendors have 15 days from the date of this synopsis to submit capability statements delineating their ability to provide these software upgrades and services. Such qualifications will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct the procurement on a fully and open competition basis. No solicitation exists.
