Description
NSN: 2840-01-416-9863PR P/N: 1864M68G01 Item Description: The LPT Rotating Air Seal is a three stepped honeycomb cylindrical devise with a metal backing plate. Its function is to prevent cooling air bypass across the high pressure turbine (HPT) Aft Shaft. Additionally, the honeycomb clearance in relation to the HPT Aft Shaft tooth clearance is critical to SARE engine operation. Dimensions are as follows: The metal backing plate has an inside dimension of approx 13.82 inches. The material is of forged material 0.2 inches thick. The honeycomb steps measures approximately 13.39 inches, approximately 13.34 inches and 13.24 inches. Material of the backing plate consists of INCO 718. The honeycomb ribbon is constructed from AMS 5536 material. Applicable to: F110 and F101 Engines Destination: FB2039 Delivery: October 2002 Qty: 291 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 1 November 2001. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 6 December 2001. The anticipated award date will be 31 January 2002. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation.
