Description
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Special Projects Office, and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate will be Co-hosting a Presolicitation Conference on 19 October 2001, from 0900-1200, at the offices of Schafer Corporation, 3811 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 400, Arlington VA 22203. The purpose of this Presolicitation Conference is to familiarize industry and academia with the RF MEMS Improvement program. A Program Research and Development Announcement (PRDA) solicitation will be released after the Presolicitation Conference. The purpose of the RF MEMS Improvement Program is to develop advanced technologies, designs, fabrication techniques, materials, and packaging concepts that can be applied to the large scale manufacture of RF micro-electromechanical switches and related components. The Program will develop and demonstrate technologies that will advance the current state-of-the-art of RF MEMS and increase the usefulness of these devices and related components for DOD applications. Interested parties should register for the Presolicitation Conference by contacting Emergent Information Technologies, Inc (DARPA SETA Contractor) at https://www.4webcollaboration.com/mems, Dr Michael R. Organizations will be asked to register the name and contact information for all attendees. Attendance will be limited to two representatives of each organization. The conference agenda includes 0900-1000 -- Technical Presentation, 1000-1100 -- Question and Answer Session. The conference will be UNCLASSIFIED. However, contract deliverables will be subject to ITAR restrictions, so only US citizens/organizations can attend and bid on this proposed program. Any advance questions pertaining to the solicitation may be e-mailed so that they can be addressed at the Presolicitation Conference. This Presolicitation Conference is for informational purposes only for any and all DOD contractors and colleges and universities. Participation is totally voluntary, and the Government will not reimburse the attendees for any cost associated with participation and is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event.
