- Description
- The Royal Air Force Transport and Air-to-Air Refuelling (AT&AAR) and Airborne Early Warning (AEW) staff require a computerised international flight planning system. The system must be capable of being embodied into the existing IBM compatible PCs used within the Royal Air Force. The successful Contractor will be required to have access to an international flight and fuel planning system, which will provide rapid response flight plans for world-wide routes. The flight and fuel planning system database must be maintained at all times with up-to-date global flight and fuel planning information, in accordance with RAF AT, AAR and AEW flying regulations. The flight and fuel plans must be suitable for onward transmission via AFTN, OFTS, STA and facsimile. The requirement is for a 3 year period, from 1 September 2002. Potential Tenderers are required to hold current BS5750/ISO9002 quality assurance certification. Firms are to provide as part of their expression of interest: -- necessary documentation to demonstrate that they can provide the requirement specified -- details of previous experience of providing the service required -- Company accounts for the last 3 years
