Description

Replace existing air handling unit in building 5B157 with new HVAC System, Replace existing air handling units in building 5B116, 117 and the three (3) small DX Systems in 5B/116 and 119 with one new VAV HVAC System with return air system and 100% economizer cycle. Relocate air intake for the air handling system for the laboratories and provide HEPA filtered air to the system. Replace all supply diffusers and exhaust grilles in the entire space. Replace HVAC controls system with new DDC control system with monitoring and controls capability form Building 54. The exhaust system in 5B-170 shall be replaced and the new exhaust system shall be in conjunction with a new air-handling unit. In Building 5C a portion of this building is served by the air system located in 5B/116. Replace all supply diffusers and return grilles in the rooms being served by this HVAC System. Replace HVAC Control system with new DDC Control System with monitoring and control capability from Building 54. Replace existing individual air handling units to 4 animal rooms and 2 storage rooms with new 100% outside, HEPA filtered air system. The reponse date for this requirement is by this notice modified to November 26, 2001. This modification also serves to incorporate the Project magnitude as follows: The magnitude for this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Provide new HVAC System for a block of rooms that consist of four laboratories, 2 restrooms and corridors. Convert rooms 114B and 124 to mechanical room space. Replace existing multi-zone (6 zone) air handling unit with new HVAC System with 100% economizer cycle capabilities. There will be a non-refundable charge of $55.00 for copies of the solicitation and specifications. Please make checks payable to the Food & Drug Administration, note solicitation number on check.
