The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price contract with a one-year basic period and 4 one year option periods. Supplies are available from only one responsible source. No other type of commodity will satisfy agency requirements. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. If no response is received by Oct 26, Noon, MDT, to the effect that comparable supplies and/or services are available that would be more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these supplies and or services though a sole source procurement with American Power Source, a sole source award will be made.
