- Description
- The U.S. Agency for International Development, West Bank & Gaza mission seeks the services of American companies in providing Design/Build (D/B) services for the design and construction of approximately 85 kilometers of a a pressure water carrier. Size ranges from 250MM to 1000MM diameter in size. Included are approximately 12 storage reservior sites, some having multiple tanks, and aproximately 10 booster pumping stations along the carrier route from the northern end of the Gaza strip near the Israeli border to the Southern City of Rafah near the Egyptian border. The project crosses historical and cultural resources, which are to be avoided and/or mitigated. Coordination with local utilities will be included in the project. The scope may include a maintenance component to be provided by the Design/Build team. The estimated project construction cost is more than $10 million. One Design/Build team will be selected for the entire project. The selection process will follow the procedures in FAR Part 36.3 -- Two phase design build selection procedures: A Request for Qualifications and a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Request for Qualifications will be made available to all firms responding to this announcement on or about January 30, 2002. The team qualifications will be evaluated to determine the ability of the Design/Build team to plan, construct and control this project.
