Description

The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command-Warren (TACOM-Warren) will be issuing a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of developing a low-power, lightweight, compact integrated process to collect or extract water from the humidity concentrator. This effort will be a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) basis and its period of performance is 18 months. Due to the unique qualifications of MesoSystems Technology, Inc. (MTI), Kennewick, WA, it is likely that an award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of costs to the Government and unacceptable delays in fulfilling Government requirements, the proposed contract will be awarded to MTI on a sole source basis. MTI has been under contract with Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for development of Mesochannel Adsorption Water From Air Generator since FY 1998. That effort has been successful in demonstrating the potential of technology. MTI has data, experimental findings, theoretical analysis, conclusions and propriety information developed under the previous DARPA contract that is critical to both the schedule and success of the project. The proposed contract will be awarded on a sole source basis; however, any proposal received as a result of this synopsis will be evaluated for possible competition. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format, and only electronic proposal responses will be accepted.
