Description

Pre-Invitation Notice for First Impressions Project -- North Entry Renovation, Richard Bolling Federal Building, 601 E. 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. PCN -- RMO20060. IFB o/a 11/17/01. Estimated Cost Range -- $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. Time for completion: 180 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. No document charge or deposit is required. Project involves but is not limited to: Selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, storm drainage, concrete work, pavement joint sealants, unit pavers, fountains, stone materials, structural steel, steel deck, metal fabrications, carpentry, insulation, single-ply membrane roofing, sheet metal, fire-resistive materials, joint sealants, aluminum entrances, aluminum storefronts, revolving entrance doors, metal framed skylights, door hardware, power door operators, glazing, glazed aluminum curtain walls, gypsum board assemblies, epoxy terrazzo, painting, flagpoles, electronic display boards, floor mats, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lighting and power. Any contractor or subcontractor performing asbestos or other hazardous material work shall satisfy special responsibility and shall provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence. Such coverage much encompass liabilities arising from work with hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks. NOTE: To order plans and specifications, please fax your request on your company letterhead to 816-823-2273 accompanied by an original signature. To be a valid request, the requester must also include one of the following forms of identification: (1) Company's current business license; (2) a valid Dun and Bradstreet number; or (3) a valid state driver's license. This procurement is offered on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. The applicable NAICS code is 233320, size standard $27.5 million. Prior to award of the contract, the successful bidder (if a large business) will be required to submit and have GSA approve a small business subcontracting plan. Contract award will be contingent upon receipt and appproval of a subcontracting plan, in accordance with Public Law 95-507, to provide the maximum practical opportunities for Small Businesses, Small Businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and by Women-Owned Small Businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency within the limits of this announcement. =20
