- Description
- HHS/PSC/AOS/Division of Acquisition Management, intends to renew the subscription with Lexis-Nexis under the Library of Congress's FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for FY02. The period of performance shall be from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002. This requirement is for on-line electronic retrieval from Lexis-Nexis proprietary databases, which give full text access to legal information and news from over 31,000 national and international publications and wire services. These services provide for information in the areas of legislation, regulation, business, financial, public record, medical, current affairs and news wire stories. Legislative databases include access to case law, administrative decisions, statutes, regulations, law reviews and speciality publications. In addition to access to CNN Transcripts, three year archives on real property records, the New York Times full-text back to 1980, the most current Deed transfer information, Shephard's Citation service, Commerce Clearing House coverage, HCFA manuals, and precision search commands such as "Selected Text", "More Like This", and "Smart Indexing". All responses must be directed to the attention of Shelby Buford, Jr., referencing 02X201006. The proposed acquisition is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons must identify their interest by providing capability statements in response to this synopsis. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, the Contracting Officer will proceed with this acquisition to Lexis-Nexis.
