Description
The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to install the following: (a) Demolish the existing WPB Building; (b) Construct a new CPB Building; (c) Install a new steel sheetpile bulkhead; (d) Install a new concrete slab-on-grade around the new CPB Building; (e) Station Building Wet Room Renovations; (f) Station Building HVAC Improvements. Request for a bid package must be submitted in writing. There will be a $30.00 charge for the solicitation package and drawings. All checks should be made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard. Bid quarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both small and large businesses participation. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. Those who previously requested under the Presolicitation Notice dated, 6 June 2001, do not need to request again. The estimated cost of this project ranges between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234990 with a three-year average annual receipts, small business size standard of $27.5 million. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000.00. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000.00 with interest at the prime rate.
