- Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to replace A/C units at USCG Loran Station Baudette, MN: 1.1 Civil-1.1.1 Remove existing concrete slab and timber retaining wall for the air conditioning condensing units. 1.1.2 Provide earthwork activities including excavation, fill and compaction. 1.1.3 Provide new concrete slab, a new concrete footing and a new concrete retaining wall for the new outdoor air conditioning equipment. 1.1.4 Prior to any demolition or removal activities and prior to any earth work activities the contractor shall locate the receiver antenna cable and the ground radials in the area of the existing concrete slab in order to ensure the cable and/or radials are not damaged by demolition or removal activities or earthwork activities in the same area.=20 1.2 Plumbing-1.2.1 Provide cold water piping for humidifiers in five air conditioning units. 1.2.2 Insulate new piping as specified. 1.3 HVAC-1.3.1 Remove five 7 ton and three 3 ton air handling units and outdoor condensing units and associated equipment, piping, and ductwork. 1.3.2 Provide three 20 ton and two 10 ton computer room type air conditioning units, and outdoor fluid coolers and pumps, and all connecting piping. 1.3.3 Provide controls for temperature and humidity and selector switches for operating and standby selection. 1.3.4 Provide exhaust fans for purge of Halon gas after discharge. 1.3.5 Provide temporary cooling during construction. 1.3.6 Remove and patch all outdoor air intakes and exhausts. Two will be reused for Halon exhaust fans. 1.3.7 Provide new ceiling tiles where ductwork is removed. 1.3.8 Provide a protective grating with a structural support system, attached to the new outdoor fluid coolers. 1.3.9 Adjust and balance fluid and air flow to design conditions. 1.4-Elelctrical-1.4.1 Provide new electrical wiring, conduit, disconnect switches, etc for all new mechanical equipment. 1.4.2 Provide new grounding loop and connections for the new concrete pad. 1.4.3 Provide grounding and bonding of all mechanical equipment and piping. 1.4.4 Remove all wiring, conduit and controls related to removed A/C?s. The period of performance is100 days after Notice to Proceed is issued. This procurement is estimated between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 and is open to both small and large businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
