- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials to perform a partial restoration of Pensacola Light as follows: (1) Asbestos Removal -- a portion of the partial restoration includes the removal and disposal of asbestos containing floor and ceiling tiles. These items are located in the second floor storage room of the light tower. (2) Lead paint Removal -- A portion of the exterior painting includes the removal and disposal of lead containing paint. The items containing lead paint are located on the wood eaves around the keeper's quarters. Request for a bid package must be submitted in writing. You can fax your request to 305-278-6696. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contract Specialist, in writing, as early as possible but to be received not later than 15 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies are requested from large and small business concerns, as well as from HUBZone concerns. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235210 with a three-year average annual receipts of $11.5 million. Bid quarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available in November 2001. *****=20
