The Bureau of the Census intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures (under FAR 13.5) to MTI Technology Corporation, 4905 E. Lapalma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92807 for maintenance on the following equipment: 8 ea. B/I Gladiator 3200 R #GL32R-UWD; 4 ea. 12 DRVS 36GB w/o Components #VT0000-PCA-437; 1 ea. 12 DRVS 36GB w/Components #VT0000-PCA-437; 2 ea. V20 70-CAB w/o Back-up 1024MB #VT0020-BXX-X7A. The basis for the proposed non-competitive action is that MTI Technology Corporation is the manufacturer of the above equipment; therefore maintenance must be provided by them. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no solicitation will be issued.
