Description

The Navy Public Works Center Washington DC is soliciting for the procurement of uniform and walk-off mats rental and laundry services. The contractor will be required to premeasure approximately 500 personnel at different sites in the greater Washington DC area before services commence. Uniforms are to consist of acid resistant and/or acid proof trousers and shirts. The contractor shall provide laundry pickup and delivery and clean all clothing on a weekly basis. Contract will be firm-fixed priced for one base year, plus four one-year options, and an option to extend the contract for up to additional six months in accordance with FAR 52.217-8. The procurement will be awarded under the terms of FAR Part 19.502 "Total set-asides". A total set-aside occurs when the entire amount of an acquisition (or clas of acquisitions) is reserved for participation by only small business concerns. The Contracting Officer makes the determination that a set-aside should be total if there is reasonable expectation that offers will be received from at least two responsible small business concerns and that the award will be made at a low-cost, technically acceptable award to the government. If the Contracting Officer receives no acceptable offers from responsible small business concerns, the set-aside will be withdrawn and the requirement shall be unrestricted. It is anticipated the solicitation will be ready 15 days from synopsis published date. In accordance with Commercial Item Regulations, the solicitation may close in less than 30 days.
