Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to modify contract N00024-99-C-5377 with Kaman Aerospace Corp, Raymond Engineering Operations, 217 Smith Street, Middletown, CT 06457, for FY 02/FY03 production of MK 54 MOD 0 Safety-Arming Devices, spares, and shipping containers for the Standard Missile Program. Kaman Aerospace is the only known firm possessing the requisite technical expertise and manufacturing capability that can perform the required production effort in a cost-effective manner. This additional work will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). Only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
