Description

The U.S. Army, Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to award a modification which will add new work to an existing contract with Fast Track Technologies, Inc., 540 Cedar Drive, Radcliff, KY 40160. The objective of this modification will be as follows: The contractor shall address the following Legacy Force issues: participate on the M831A1 Change Program IPT, participate on the Epoxy Paint Residue IPT, provide insight and ideas for improving communication to the Armor Units, preparation of articles for a variety of topics as needed. In support of the Monitoring Performance of the M865 Less Epoxy Cartridges, the contractor shall provide support to a variety of installations. Previous details on the monitoring of the M865 Less Epoxy Cartridges were already incorporated into the contract. Additional details can be provided upon request. This procurement will be processed as a sole-source requirement to the aforementioned company. Pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. An award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost and a delay in the award for which the Government cannot recover through competition. This action will be accomplished by use of Alpha Contracting utilizing a teaming approach with Fast Track Technologies, Inc. Reference Note 22 applies.
